Deputy Manager – RGN/RMN

This is a great vacancy for a Registered Nurse, Deputy Manager to join a fantastic Care Home located in Plymouth.

The large bedded home specialises in providing nursing and social care for older people who are living with physical or mental health conditions.

 

If you are successful for this role you will receive a competitive salary of £18.00 per hour with great additional benefits.

 

As the Deputy Home Manager, you will be expected to assist in the management of the business and the team. You will be responsible for ensuring the whole home is operating effectively as well as making sure the best quality of care is given to the service users. You will be critical to the continued success of the business, working across all aspects of care.

 

Your main duties will be:

·         To assess the resident’s needs and wishes are met with developing the service, to enhance their quality of life

·         Deputising the overall management of the care home as required

·         To positively influence the reputation of the home

·         Managing the implementation of company policies and regulatory requirements and striving to achieve the best possible care rating.

·         Maintain clinical excellence – role models high standards of nursing care, ensuring legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines are followed

·         To ensure that the home operates within budget through effective use of resources and identify areas to improve efficiency

·         A visible leader in the home

·         Overseeing the induction of all new employees and participate in the training development of the team

·         Support the manager in disciplinary proceedings where required.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:

·         A qualified Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration

·         Strong leadership and management quality

·         Up to date with current practices and the desire to maintain clinical and industry knowledge

·         Have a positive and flexible attitude, with a person centred ethos

 

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
